Poster series created in response to Shane Bauer's 2018 piece for Mother Jones in which he examines the link between private prisons of the past, and ICE's use of current private prison systems to house detained immigrants. Designs take inspiration from film reels/contact sheets to draw attention to the way undocumented immigrants, particularly children, are portrayed in the media. Photographs are re-appropriated images taken by Paul Strand during his travels in Mexico in 1933.
